CipherTrust Flex Ability connectors connect devices such as disk arrays, servers, and hypervisors via the KMIP protocol. This allows you to separate encryption keys from the asset and separate roles.

KMIP in an organization enables:
Centralized key management: Allows you to manage all encryption keys (symmetric, asymmetric, certificates) from one central location, even for different encrypted storages, databases or cloud services.
Interoperability: Thanks to standardization, encryption systems from different manufacturers can easily "negotiate" with one central key server. This simplifies IT architecture and reduces dependency on a single supplier (vendor lock-in).
Key lifecycle: Supports operations such as creation, storage, retrieval, rotation (change) and destruction of encryption keys in a standardized manner, ensuring their correct and secure use throughout their validity period.
Security: Clients can request the server to encrypt or decrypt data without having direct access to the key.
This is a separate connector, without the CipherTrust Manager unit the connector itself is not functional. The price includes one year of Thales Enhanced Maintenance.
