The IDBridge K30 from Thales is a universal security USB smart card reader in the size of a SIM card. It is designed as a multi-purpose device for identity and access management, digital signatures, encryption and other security applications based on public key infrastructure (PKI). Its design allows secure use even in environments where a classic smart card reader is not available - simply connect it to any USB port and after entering a PIN, you gain access to all stored certificates and keys.
The device offers increased protection thanks to two-factor authentication - the user must have a physical token and know their PIN. The integrated smart card is firmly embedded in the token body and cannot be replaced, which also increases security in terms of possible theft or manipulation. A blue LED indicator signals readiness and ongoing operations.
The IDBridge K30 is compatible with the most widely used operating systems (Windows 7–11, Linux, macOS) and supports USB 2.0 (full speed 12 Mbps). CCID support means easy installation without the need for special drivers and full interoperability within corporate and public infrastructures. It also offers robust protection against electrostatic discharge (ESD) and meets international standards such as CE, FCC, RoHS and more.
The K30 is suitable for use with a smart card for network authentication, secure computer access, trusted document exchange, digital email signing and e-banking. It uses Thales IDGo middleware to manage cryptographic operations and provide the highest level of security for PKI – including non-repudiation for financial transactions.
The reader can be personalized – for example with your own logo or corporate graphics. Its robust, portable format with a locked smart card makes it the ideal choice for any organization that needs to effectively protect access to its digital resources and identities.
