ID Prime 3940 FIDO

The ID Prime 3940 FIDO can read and write via a card reader or contactless NFC, is a qualified means (QSCD) from the eIDAS perspective and also supports FIDO2 for passwordless authentication. Thales manufactures this card with 400 kB Java Flash with 73 kB of free space for keys and certificates, supports RSA up to 4096 bits and ECDSA P-521 and is certified as a CC EAL5+/PP QSCD and CC EAL6+ chip. It enables both passwordless FIDO2/U2F login and strong PKI authentication and digital signatures of all levels.

IDPrime 3940 FIDO combines the FIDO2/U2F standard and traditional PKI into a single dual smart card, ideal for organizations requiring a universal solution for strong authentication. The card communicates via:
Contact interface ISO 7816 (T=0/T=1, up to 446 kbps)
Contactless interface ISO 14443 Type A (NFC, up to 848 kbps).
Thanks to 400 kB of Java Flash memory, it has 73 kB of free space for up to 20 containers of keys, certificates and other applets. The card is built on Java Card 3.0.4 and GlobalPlatform 2.2.1, which allows the deployment of own or additional applets (MPCOS, PIV, etc.).
