Thales IDBridge CT700 is a professional class 2 PIN Pad smart card reader, designed to provide maximum protection of user data and digital identity security in the most sensitive applications. The reader is suitable for eGovernment, banking, healthcare, corporate intranets and eCommerce, where strong authentication based on smart cards and PIN verification is required.
With an integrated 16-key keyboard and display (2 rows x 17 characters), the CT700 ensures secure PIN code entry without the risk of data being captured by malware or keyloggers. An internal security “firewall” protects the memory, display and PIN pad inputs and deletes all previous PIN and PUK data after each operation. The commands Verify PIN, Change PIN and Change PIN with PUK are supported, with the possibility of optionally deactivating the firewall at the customer’s request.
The device is built on open standards and offers full compatibility with PC/SC v2 Part 10, ISO 7816-1/2/3/4, and EMV Level 1 (v4). The USB 2.0 (CCID 1.1) interface allows easy connection without the need for drivers — plug and play for Windows, macOS, and Linux. All major smart card variants (1.8 V / 3 V / 5 V) and raised embossed cards are supported.
The ergonomic design (dimensions 121 × 79 × 49 mm, weight 292 g) allows comfortable one-handed operation and deployment in branch and desktop environments. The CT700 is also available in a loaded version, ensuring a stable attachment to the desktop. Tamper-evident design and the possibility of graphic personalization increase the security and user value of the device.
The reader offers a multilingual user interface and complies with international certifications and standards such as RoHS, WEEE, CE, FCC, VCCI and BSMI.
